It’s hard to believe in fate even if it stares you right in the eye. That’s what ‘confess’ does to you, to OMG; these are such stupid initials for a man’s name.
His entire life was built based on what he remembered of her. He loved her even when he shouldn’t and she loved him even when she couldn’t.
I’m not a romance genre fanatic, I happened to ‘stumble’ into this read after reading Verity by Colleen Hoover. However, unlike Verity whose complicatedness I loved the most, I found ‘confess’ far from refreshing.
It’s not a bad read. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of light-hearted and sweet moments in this book. It’s more of an okay book. Auburn Reed is a Beta female, probably explains why I didn’t understand her decisions or connect with her as a character.
I love a strong woman, a will and a spirit that dares to fight back no matter what. She was neither.
So… when I think about it, these were the main reasons I didn’t enjoy confess as I wanted to (really-really wanted to). Regardless, Colleen still kept me reading.
It will seem like everyone is keeping a secret in this book, because they are. Some will be more shocking than others. Expect the feels… and the unexpected.
