Every page you turn you’re certain someone will die. You even end up looking forward to it. However, the people you want to die don’t die. The ones who deserve to live die. Sigh. This book- ‘Rage of Angels’ by Sidney Sheldon has been too real.
I didn’t cry. lol. At least not like in last book I read; by him. Sikua nataka Makasiriko so I kept an open mind. I’m not sure how I feel about Sheldon he’s always having me on a roller coaster of emotions. This time round it was about this lawyer girl- Jennifer Parker. Michael Moretti chose her for himself. She was his to play with and she didn’t even know it.
Her law career nearly lasted 4 hours because of him. Until president man Mr…(I didn’t like him so I didn’t bother to keep his name in memory) chose her for himself. She became his to play with. Our girl though, loved to play. And play she did. I do love a good complex love triangle. They can be sort of fun. A few mixed signals here and there. Nothing to spark the rage of angels, but enough to keep life interesting.
Trust Sidney to take it to a whole new level. I mean what sort of love triangle is it if you love both men and can’t quite choose. Worse still if both would kill for you. Or when both have psychotic wives who would do anything for their men. Then there’s you- who knows nothing other than the language of geeks.
Personally, I’m team Michael. You’ll probably question my choice when you turn that last page. But I don’t care. The heart wants what it wants. Touché. Did I tell you he was a titan? But his name was only known in the circles that mattered. He’s such a bad boy. Bad boys are for life. It’s what I loved about him. Ride or die. Which is why I wasn’t surprised by the ending.
Thomas Aquinas had said that when you got to the heart of evil, there was nothing there. Rage of Angels proves it’s also true of love.
Ps: I rarely rate books, it involves a lot of technicalities and thinking. I’m too lazy for that. Quite frankly, it takes the fun out of reviews.
